A Doctoral Consortium will be held on Thursday 23 June, 2011 at Griffith Graduate Centre, Griffith University, Southbank as a part of the Industrial and Organisation Psychology Conference. The consortium program includes an impressive array of speakers including:
The focus of the consortium will be in line with the conference theme of 'Connectivity in a dynamic world'. Doctoral students will be able to connect with other students with similar interests in a three minute PhD session and will be encouraged to present sections of their research to get feedback from a panel of experts in industrial and organisational psychology.
Topics covered by the speakers during the day include how use your doctoral research to develop a good career, how to make research interesting, and future directions for research in I/O psychology. A panel of experts from academia and industry will lead a discussion on getting a job post PhD.
The consortium has been designed to include sections of interest to all doctoral students from those just beginning the journey to those nearing completion of their doctorates.
