The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre: 

  • Has Green Globe accreditation
  • Has Green Table accreditation
  • Offers the free services of a customised carbon calculator (designed in conjunction with the Carbon Reduction Institute) to measure the footprint of your event
  • Can assist you in purchasing carbon credits or green power through accredited programs
  • Provides onsite services to cater for your every requirement - Food & Beverage Catering, Audio Visual & IT Equipment & Production Services, Signage & Graphics Design and Production, Exhibition Booth Hire
  • Has introduced a range of Reduce, Reuse & Recycle initiatives:
    • Reduce - We reduce power and water consumption, reduce waste sent to landfill, reduce environmental impacts by purchasing sustainable, local products
    • Reuse - We donate surplus packaged food to Foodbank and by donating equipment and materials to local charities, schools and organisations we ensure they are reused in their lifecycles
    • Recycle - We recycle organic waste as compost, we recycle water captured from the roof for cleaning, we recycle plastic containers, paper products, glass, polystyrene, e-waste, metal waste, toner cartridges, timber and construction waste, paints, fluorescent tubes and lamps!
  • Partners with Foodbank, Australia's largest hunger relief organisation, donating 45,000 pre-packaged meals to date
  • Committed to the use of sustainable cleaning products
  • Supplies separate bins to encourage delegates to recycle
  • Sources only the very best of fresh, seasonal produce from local suppliers
  • Serves coffee from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms, managed to high social and environmental standards
  • Has a written Corporate Social Responsibility policy which can be shared with suppliers, and clients
  • Ensures lighting and air-conditioning are switched off when not in use, or monitored for reduced usage at appropriate times
